Planning parties can sure be hectic and even crazier when it’s for your family. But nothing is sweeter than watching a little one grow from 1 to 2, so it was a pop rockin’ blast to plan my niece’s second birthday party. The theme this year was Maya’s picnic in the park so I covered the tables with gingham tablecloths and dotted the tables with colorful cookies and watermelon candy gift bags. Each guest took a turn at being Picasso with the cookie decoration station to create their own edible masterpieces. I elevated the average cake pop by using a rice crispy treats with red coloring, mini chocolate chips as seeds, and shaped them into watermelon slices. Family and friends were all smiles and full of delight.
